Clickpass was one of the reasons I adopted Disqus, so I definitely
agree on its usefulness. I think RevJim and I didn't know that
Clickpass could verify another OpenID provider (in fact, I still
don''t know how they help other openID providers because they directly
compete with them).

I disagree that ClickPass is not true OpenID. They are everything you could expect from OpenID and more. As well as being an identity provider they have optimised the user experience from the previously standard, clunky paste-your-URL-in-the-box interface to something that is several magnitudes slicker, easier and more intuitive.
Besides, if you already have another OpenID provider there is nothing stopping you using it with the ClickPass system.
All credit to Disqus for being forward-thinking, I would say.

Completely agree with you there RevJim. The reason why I chose Disqus
is because I like Clickpass, but Clickpass is not even close to being
a true OpenID offering yet.

I'm glad it worked out for you. If Disqus would ditch ClickPass or at least improve it's OpenID offering, I'd be 100% happy with the service they are providing.
